DescriptionThis installation invites visitors to hear an imagined version of a speech that formerly enslaved poet and writer, Lucy terry Prince is said to have presented in front of the Board of Trustees in response to the rejection of her son Festus' application for admission into Williams College in the early years of the College's existence.This installation will include a sound file provided by the artist playing back through 8 speakers on speaker stands (sourced by WCMA) around the perimeter of WCMA's Weston Rotunda.
