DescriptionHistoric House is imagined as a life size section of a house: the hearth and chimney and 4 small domestic vessels
It is made with sealed and treated steel to ensure that it will not oxidize and damage the lawn. The highest part of the sculpture, the chimney, will be 9.5 ft. tall. The footprint of the fireplace will be 4x5 ft and the structure will weigh 500 lbs and will be assembled and bolted in place. It will be secured from inside with bolts (not visible to viewers) to a pre-prepared concrete base of 6x6 ft., which will be covered in an earth-like mulch to replicate a dirt floor. 4 small househoud objects also made of sealed and treated steel, will also be bolted to the concrete base in front of the fireplace so they cannot be moved.
