Stuart Michie (1871-1943), Worcester, MA; 1943, to his widow, Jeanne Hatch Michie (1879-19958), Worcester, MA; 1958, to her son Forbes S. Michie (1915-1998), Worcester, MA; 1988, gift to his son Thomas Michie. Old note: "Col. Appleton sale Walpole 1919", but have not been able to identify that sale or confirm a "lot 403." There was a Col. Appleton sale at Walpole Galleries on May 17, 19, 1920, although this print does not appear to have been in that sale., nor was it in a subsequent Appleton sale, London (June 20-23, 1910).
