Photogrammetry

View All Works
Photogrammetry is the process of combining many photographs of an object to create a virtual 3d model that users can manipulate on their computer screens. The process of creating models like these encourages students to look closely and think about the sculptural qualities of objects. Students and other museum audiences use these models to see things like the insides of masks and vessels, or what an architectural fragment from a building might actually look like when it was placed high overhead.
