Jenny Holzer from the Laments Series 1989

Three works from contemporary artist Jenny Holzer's 1989 series, Laments, one of which belongs to WCMA, were featured in this exhibition. With its combination of modern technology-- flashing LED signs --and the ancient form of a sarcophagus, together with Holzer's trademark use of text, the series expresses the artist's social and political concerns.
