reverse: Three youths return from a symposium and dancing
Inscribedinscribed on side: probably not a real inscription at all, but rather a nonsense graffito (which were not uncommon on Greek vases and other decorated objects). It may have been inscribed on the vase at a period later than the purported date of the Troilos painter, since some of the letter forms used don't appear in Attic inscriptions that early.
