DescriptionThis hollow cast, votive statuette depicts the Egyptian god, Nefertem, striding forward, his arms tightly clasped at this sides. He wears a Shendit-kilt, divine beard, and uraeus. On his head sits a lotus blossom, a symbol of regeneration and rebirth. Nefertem was the son of Ptah and Sehkmet, who together made up the Memphan triad.Collections
